Waste Recycling Centres

Coleford Recycling Centre is now considered to be a Community Recycling Centre by Mendip District Council and Somerset Waste Parnership and will attract a fee of £2 for each visit. It is at Newbury Lane, Coleford, BA3 5RU and may be contacted on Tel. 01373 813515. The opening hours for Coleford Recycling are Mondays, 8am to 7pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 8am to 4 pm and Sunday 8am to 1pm.

Alternatively, both Frome at Manor Furlong, Manor Road BA11 4RN, Tel. 01373 453622 and Dulcote at Dulcote Hill BA5 3PZ, Tel. 01749 670973 do not make a charge for each visit.

All Recycling Centes do make various charges:

Soil and Hardcore

• £2.90 per rubble sack (including part) and minimum charge
• £14.50 per small van or trailer (estimated carrying capacity of up to 250kg.
• £29.00 per medium van or trailer (estimated carrying capacity of up to 500kg.
• £58.00 per large van or trailer (estimated carrying capacity of up to 1 tonne.
• £116.00 per lorries van or trailer (estimated carrying capacity of over 1 tonne.

Gas Bottles

• £6.00 per bottle below 10 kg
• £12.00 per bottle 10-20 kg
• £35.00 per bottle - specialist cylinders

Tyres

• £3.30 per un-rimmed tyre
• £4.20 per rimmed tyre
• £45.60 per large (e.g. lorry sized) tyre
